Starlight Village Hub

A Future Built Together

The Starlight Village Hub is Starlight Foundation Ghana’s vision for a five-acre community designed to create lasting pathways out of vulnerability.

The Hub will bring together education, healthcare, vocational training, rehabilitation, housing, agriculture, enterprise and community support within one coordinated environment—giving children, young people and families access to the opportunities and support they need to build independent and thriving lives.

The challenges facing vulnerable children, young people and families rarely exist in isolation.

A child may need access to education, but also a safe and stable place to live. A young person may acquire vocational skills but still need practical experience and a pathway into employment. A single mother may be ready to train for a new livelihood but require childcare and other forms of support to participate fully.

Poor health can interrupt education. Unstable housing can undermine progress. Trauma can make learning and employment more difficult. Disability can become a barrier when accommodation, training and workplaces are not accessible.

Starlight Village Hub is designed around the understanding that meaningful, lasting change requires these interconnected needs to be addressed together.

The need for an Integrated Village?

Through our work with children, young people and families, Starlight Foundation has seen how progress in one area can be undermined when another essential need remains unmet.

Education alone cannot provide stability when a child has nowhere safe to live. Vocational training cannot create independence without opportunities to practise those skills and build sustainable livelihoods. Healthcare, rehabilitation, childcare, housing and community support all influence whether someone is able to move forward.

The Village Hub brings these services together within one supportive community, allowing people to access coordinated opportunities for learning, recovery, skills development and personal growth.

Rather than addressing individual challenges separately, the Hub is designed to support the whole journey toward independence.

Together, we can build a community where children can learn safely, young people can develop practical skills, families can access essential support, and individuals facing difficult circumstances can find a pathway toward independence.
